Does anyone remember or even know what Omegle is? Well, for anyone unfamiliar with it, it’s a website where you can talk to strangers anonymously.

Well, our story begins with us finding each other on this platform, at random. It was day time for me, spending time on my computer for a little while before heading out to school, for him, just another sleepless night. We talked for a good couple of hours… about anything and everything that came to our minds; anime, manga, video games, cartoons, and many more related topics. I know… I know… pretty immature stuff… but we were young, weren’t we? I was 17, he was 22. We shared likes and dislikes, we shared our names and… where we are from.
I live in Romania and he lives in the United States of America. Wow… half a world away, I thought. He was being cheeky and said: “Oh? Romanian? You must be pretty cute, then.”, I was surprised and amused by his comment, so we started flirting back and forth, playfully, not thinking too much of it. I won’t get into too many details with y’all. 🤭 At a certain point into our conversation my internet connection got fussy and I was scared I might lose him for good. He was so fun to talk to, so we quickly exchanged our Facebook profiles and a minute after that my internet went down.
After a few minutes of impatient waiting, my internet starts working again and I befriend him on Facebook. I was running late for school, so I messaged him, wished him a good night, and I left.
A little inside joke that we have is that we are still unsure if we met on a single day or two consecutive days, because of the different time zones. It’s been so long we have forgotten such small details, and since we cannot decide, we just have a two-day anniversary. 🎉
Well, that’s it for today’s post. Next time I will be talking about how we fell in love and what obstacles we had to face.
